IN TIANJIN!
yep. I'm finally in tianjin. Today started off with assembling at Changi Airport terminal 1 early in the morning at 7.30am. We were given the passports and air tickets to check in our oh-so-heavy luggages. said our goodbyes abd and we were off into the departing hall with our hand luggages which only Claudia and I had TWO bags, while the rest carried one, well if only you don't count May's paper bag and pouch. So then, the teachers, Mr Gan and Ms Cheah, gave us time to shop before the flight as it was actually at 9.30am. Everyone went their separate ways and so Claudia and I wondered around the whole hall, well practically those that were interesting. We covered the entire place in about 20 mins and walked around aimlessly afterwards... walked towards the gate where we were supposed to meet, gate D35, and we glanced at hour watches. HALF AN HOUR MORE TO GO! So we settled on the carpeted floor... and started a little conversation when along came Cuixia, Siewming and Huiyi. Cuixia and Siewming bought those stufftoyed flower for their buddies. so cute. and Claudia and I totally adored the bee which was on it. Then it was time, and the rest slowly arrived. We boarded the plane, and in there, we were scrambling around, wanting to exchange seats with one another. and not long later, we finally settled down and the plane was already moving. VERY slowly. Many of them, Zihe, Kailin, Pengho and Calcy were playing cards while Claudia and I just looked. They played for quite some time... and so later on we joined them too. The rest were more or less doing their own stuff chatting, listening to their MP3s reading or even sleeping. The flight was estimated to be 5hours and 45minutes long which means we would land at about 3.10pm but it was delayed to 3.30pm. Everyone seemed to be having loads of fun in the plane, but sadly they didn't have those little screens infront, and the food were'nt as nice as Singapore Airlines. Oh wait, I haven't mentioned, i was taking the China Airlines. haha yep. Had my lunch in the plane, wasn't very bad though. Fish and broccoli with rice, and salad with smoked salmon and also some fruits. Honeydew, papaya and pineapple. And also the uaul little bun with butter of which i generously DONATED to pengho. HAHA. We landed exactly at 3.30pm, went through all the immigration stuff collected our heavy luggages and were rather horrified at the sight of our luggages being dumped on the revolving belt thingy by a machine. OUCH. mine ended up with two scratches. boohoohoo it's new!! Well anyway, exited the airport and got onto the bus. We were surprised that the cars never stopped for pedestrians at the zebra crossings. The bus ride to Tianjin took about 3hours . A few of us were sitting at the back playing cards throughout. Bridge!! It was really dark. OIt already turned pitch black at 6 plus which was rather early, but that's the usual in China. Goodness. So then we had to use the handphone lights in order to be able to see the cards properly. After 3 long hours in the bus, we finally arrived at Yaohua and it was FREEZING outside. We entered some meeting room and was warmly welcomed by a few school staffs. Then it was time to leave with the buddies. Mine was little late. Because they were all told to come later as we were delayed. Was rather anxious of what my new buddy would be like as Linxi didn't apply for it, so i was going to have a new buddy, so did Claudia. It was then some cute looking girl entered the room with her mother. She was dressed in a wool jacket and checkered plaited skirt with black stockings, and also a pair furry looking boots. She had on a furry pink hairband to hold up her hair. She then waved enthusiastically towards me and so i knew, thats her, that's my new buddy, Zhao Jia Ying. Her mother's really nice, and she helped me with my luggage. Her dad was waiting in the car for us and they brought me to this restaurant. They said they already had their dinner at Kentucky but yet they ordered LOADS of food. A super huge bowl of soup, and ANOTHER soup, some creamy soup with tofu, a pork dish and another dish which consisted of cubed forzen vegetables and some hard tofu looking thing which i don't evenb know what it was. But it was niceee. The waiter and waitresses there were VERY young maybe a year or more older than i am. I took a little of each and the rest they asked to 'Da Bao'. After the scrumptious meal, we headed 'home'. Their home's very cosy and my buddy let me have her room while she slept with her parents. How nice. Her room is ALL PINK. Filled with Hellokitty stuff, and Disney. HAHA. Cute huh. Even her bedsheets were pink. MINNIEMOUSE. Her mother then asked me to have an early rest because it's been a pretty long day. I passed her all the little gifts which at 1st she refused to accept. Had a nice warm shower and then went to bed. yep. NIGHTS.
